Short Bio: During World War II, Holbrook served in the Army in Newfoundland. After the war, he attended Denison University, graduating in 1948. While at Denison, Holbrook’s senior honors project concerned Mark Twain. He’d later develop “Mark Twain Tonight”, the one-man show in which he impersonates the great American writer Mark Twain, a.k.a. Samuel Clemens.

Short Bio: Carey, born May 23, 1958 in Cleveland, was a member of his high school marching band and later attended Kent State, where he was a member of the Delta Tau Delta fraternity. During his service in the Marine Corps, he began performing stand-up comedy that eventually led to supporting roles on television.

Short Bio: Oscar winning actor Rod Steiger is best known for his portrayal of Chief Gillespie in “In the Heat of the Night”, quit high school in 1942 to join the navy. He served as a Topedoman’s Mate on two destroyers. One suffered such heavy damage by kamikazes that it had to be skuttled.

Short Bio: He served with the 28th Infantry Division, and landed at Normandy in July 1944, and involved in the fighting around St. Lo, France. On 15 August 1944, while manning a machine gun, a German mortar shell blew him in the air, severely wounding him in his right leg. He was sent back to Normandy and taken to a Army hospital in the English Midlands.
